The Race for Oceanside bragging rights continued on the Saturday before Easter, with the Wacky Wabbit Wegatta (for Widos.) Attendance was real good for a Holiday weekend, the day was perfect, sunny, a range of wind conditions, and frequent place swapping. This is the hottest action in O’side Harbor. The closest contest of the day was Carl and Given, with equal points, and identical places.
Carl and Corky squeaked out the lead with their placing in the final race. Larry and James edged out the two Timmys for the first place trophy. The next and final installment, for the Van Slyke trophy, will be held in May, on a date that will be announced soon.
