November 4 turned out to be a great day for our first set of races in the fall series.  Monty Yearly provided the committee boat with Given  and Katie Harrison manning the stopwatch, horn and flags.  Denny was short one crew member so Monty jumped into his boat which brought the total to five boats for the series.  The wind was mild but fairly constant, and the races were competitive with places changing frequently and in one instance, one boat crossing the finish line about 1.5 feet ahead of the next one in a battle for second place.
